Who can apply to become a member?

Membership to join Fair Wealth Australia is open to all. You will need to be currently employed to join as most of our benefits are structured to cater to those in the workforce. We do however have membership options for those who have retired and are no longer in the workforce.

Every member has their own reason for joining. We would like to think by joining to become a part of our team, you have a safety net which will look after you in times of need. At the same time you will be contributing to help the greater community.

Are there waiting periods before applying for assistance grants?

Specifically for grants, you will need to be a contributing member for 3 months in order to apply. If you have your membership upgraded or varied to include additional covers, the waiting period for the extension benefit is also 3 months. Waivers for special circumstances need board approval.

How do I pay my membership?

We have two options of payments. Setting up a recurring direct debit for a frequency that suits you: weekly, fortnight monthly, quarterly or yearly. For the transport workers in NSW, payroll deduction is available to have your membership deducted from each fortnightly pay.

Can I change my membership level cover in the future?

You can increase or decrease your membership level at any time.Waiting periods and conditions may apply to upgraded benefits.

How We Work

We generate income from a range of sources: membership fees, commission on loans, events, and other services that we offer the community.
We then redistribute that money back into the membership base through insurance cover, financial assistance, life coaching, counselling and a range of other support services for our members.

Membership Benefits

Our standard membership package is $13 per week and comprises a range of essential features to help support you in all things mind and money.

This includes insurance cover, grants-based financial assistance, access to advisors to improve your finances, life coaching, mental health counselling, plus a range of other tools, events, advice, and support services.
